I like volunteering because I can feel useful to people, I can help them, I can give something beneficial, I can appreciate as a person life and those around me much more and it gives me fulfillment to see that someone thanks you for your time and attention, that he/she smiles and feels happier than before. I’ve been volunteering within the LPA for approximately 2 years. I’ve participated in RITTO and I am currently involved in arranging a reading corner for the Oncology Hospital in Cluj. Firstly because volunteering can be considered an important life experience. It helps you understand that you have to be grateful for what you have. I consider that every person should volunteer, and that parents should encourage their child’s involvement in such activities. It helps you see life from a different perspective, you make new friends, you constantly meet people and feel good about helping.
All the Little people projects are beautiful and I don’t think I can say that one is better than the other. I consider that it is very important that they are very diverse – you are always facing new situations, different kinds of people and personalities. I really like the collectivity that has formed here, made up of teens eager about what they do, who like to be constantly challenged with something new. The team is very important in volunteering projects, because everyone can contribute in a different manner, completing each other’s work.
