The 1st camp of its kind in Romania, and the 1st of many such camps to come! 2008 Temerarii camp was held at the millennium complex in the beautiful hills of Cluj county. 50 attendees from all over Romania came for the 5 day camp that included horse riding - abseiling - hiking - horse riding - cook-outs - lots of fun and most importantly - building bonds and friendship .

We have posted a video clip of the camp on youtube with interviews with some of the attendees and volunteers. Please follow the link above.

The camp builds on the philosophy of Temerarii: good things can and will happen no matter how bad you may feel while fighting cancer! The Camp is open to any and all cancer patients in Romania and worldwide for that matter. Katie Rizvi heads the Temerarii project. If you would like more information or would like to be involved in Temerarii camp 2009 contact katie on katie@thelittle-people.org

Using the “Community 1st” campaign created by Little People Romania, we use the help of Cluj volunteers. Katie Rizvi with the volunteers did all the fundraising - camp management - PR - and  worked 24/7 to make this pioneering event a huge success.
